Based on the huge amount of funds donated from the Partner National Societies (PNSs) of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement all over the world, the JRCS carried out very large-scale and wide-ranged recovery assistance programmes, which were the biggest programmes among the non-governmental organisations. The JRCS enhanced the speed, effectiveness, efficiency and appropriateness of the programmes by maximizing its competences, human resources, know-how and network. In addition, the JRCS developed an internal control system and conducted an external audit, which secured the appropriate implementation of the programmes.
