Earthquake occurred at the offshore of the Noto peninsula

Brief summary of situation
25th of March Sunday at 9:42 am, magnitude 6.9 earthquake occurred at the offshore of the Noto peninsula, west of Honshu island. According to the fire department, 1 old lady died, 171 people were injured, 236 houses were totally/partly damaged, and 2,235 people evacuated from their homes. Ishikawa prefecture which has population of 1.1million people is most damaged. On 26th Monday, Noto Airport is fully recovered and working normally, but some parts of railways in affected area are still not working. There have been more than 140 aftershocks, some of those are as large as magnitude 5.3.
Action taken by Red Cross
The Japanese Red Cross Society's staff members gathered at NHQs, branches at the affected prefecture Ishikawa, and near prefectures Toyama, and Nigata. 3 Red Cross relief teams consisting of doctors, nurses and administrators are deployed and providing mobile clinic services in affected area. 12 Red Cross volunteers are mobilized to help radio communications, and relief operation over all. JRCS has also distributed 3,060 blankets, 300 daily care sets, and 96 emergency care sets.
Action taken by others
The Japanese Government has established a Headquarters for Urgent Disaster Mgt headed by the Prime Minister right after the earthquake, while the National Defense Forces, Police and Fire Department are responding the situation in the affected area. On Sunday 5 helicopters are deployed, and in total about 350 relief personnel operated.
