The Helping Hand Campaign is an annual fundraising initiative organized by the Japanese Red Cross Society (JRCS) in collaboration with the NHK; Japan Broadcasting Corporation. It aims to raise funds to help people around the world who are suffering from armed conflict, disaster, and disease.

In 2015, the youth volunteer members of the JRCS launched a special engagement movement using Instagram called #heartcampaign ( #ハートキャンペーン in Japanese). The photo of “heart shape image” and message will be collected, having an opportunity to increase awareness of the campaign and learn JRCS international activities.

It is very easy to join by taking a photo of any “heart shape” object along with your message. Then, upload the photo on Instagram in the #heartcampaign.

Why not take a moment to remember people who are suffering from armed conflict, disaster, and disease and think about what we can do to help people in need of humanitarian assistance around the world by joining #heart campaign?
